Iconic streetwear outfit Stüssy have officially unveiled their upcoming Nike Air Penny 2 collaboration, with this pair having long been teased over this past year.
Having been shared around a host of sneaker blogs and social media platforms earlier this year, the Stüssy x Nike Air Max Penny 2 flew under-the-radar as many sneaker heads focused more on Stüssy’s alternate collaborative efforts, including their recent takes on Nike’s Air Max 2013 sneaker and Converse’s Chuck 70 Hi. Set to release “soon”, Stüssy took to Instagram to unveil an on-foot image of a black-on-black pair of the soon-to-release pair, tapping the only man they could for the job: Penny Hardaway. Currently serving as the Head Coach of Memphis Basketball, Hardaway donned the sleek pair on the court sidelines, with this new edition boasting the traditional Air Penny shape, a mixed material and EVA composition, as well as collaborative Stüssy x Nike branding. Additionally, a second ‘Vivid Green’ colourway also looks set to release alongside the officially confirmed ‘Black’ iteration.
Both pairs of the Stüssy x Nike Air Penny 2 are expected to release on December 20th.
